Engine Options and Performance
The 2020 Renegade can be equipped with either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder Tigershark® engine or a 1.3-liter four-cylinder Direct Injection Turbo engine. Both powertrains pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission and either front- or all-wheel drive. The base engine delivers 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, while the turbo engine can get up to 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The most fuel-efficient Renegade is a front-wheel-drive model with the optional turbocharged 1.3-liter engine. This version earns an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. With all-wheel drive, those figures fall to 23 and 29 mpg, respectively. When equipped with the Tigershark® engine and front-wheel drive, the Renegade is rated at 22 city mpg and 30 highway mpg. All-wheel drive drops 1 mpg in both metrics.

The easy-to-use Uconnect infotainment system is standard across the board, together with Bluetooth® connectivity, voice control, a USB port, and six speakers.
