Which RAM Model and Trim Works Best For You?

Whether people want to admit it or not, the car you drive impacts your image. And, something else everyone knows is that, any RAM model is set to impress.

Beyond showing off, though, what model and trim best fits your needs? Well, considering the sheer variety, it’s hard to pick than you’d think. That’s because every year the market is flooded with new RAM iterations.

So, how do you make a pick? Well, below is a quick look into one of the most popular models, the 1500, and the trims that might best work for you.

Most Popular Model: The 1500

The 1500 is the most popular in the RAM series. It has a plethora of trims, but here you’ll find examples of the lowest, middle and highest versions. Keep in mind that there are a few others between them, but these stand out the most.

Tradesman

The Tradesman is the most affordable in the series. It has the absolute basics when compared to the other trims. It shares many traits, but it’s important to specify where you’ll find the major differences.

First of all, the rear axle ratio is 3.55. It also comes with a 23 gallon fuel tank, smaller than the higher trims. The tires are 275/65R18 BSW All Season, which isn’t too bad.

The side mirrors are heated and have a convex spotter with manual folding. It’s lacking in other areas, though, like the power rear window of the Rebel.

Rebel

The Rebel is the most popular among all the 1500 trims. It’s in the middle price range and provides the most bang for your buck. As mentioned before, it has a power rear window with deep tinted glass, a must-have for any major RAM fan.

It also has front fog lamps and perimeter or approach lights. There’s a more notable focus on comfort with this trim. It comes with an 8-way power driver seat. It has power recline, fore/aft movement and cushion tilt. Apart from added comfort, the seats in the rear are foldable, meaning more overall room.

It also comes with a few quirky additions, like an illuminated front cup holder and a proximity key with push button start.

Limited

The limited is the most expensive trim in the series. It has an impressive 26 gallon gas tank with a whopping 395 horse power. You might say nobody would want to get in your way if they spot you barreling down the highway.

It has lower CO2 emissions than similar models, surprisingly enough. It has a maximum towing capacity of 8,190 pounds, which is the highest in the trim.

In terms of critter comforts, you’ll find two LCD monitors in the front, along with 10 powerful speakers throughout the cabin. It also has integrated GPS, so you don’t have to hold your phone while driving or buy a plastic phone holder for long drives.

It includes most of the specs of the prior trims, but adds an illuminated locking glove box and full cloth headliner. Something you won’t notice unless you’re driving the Limited, is the deluxe sound insulation and genuine wood instrument panel insert.

RAM is already a luxury, but the Limited takes it to another level.

Picking a RAM Model and Trim

Right now, the best RAM model for any fan of the series is the 1500. The fact that it has a plethora of trims to pick from is almost enough of a justification. Beyond that, though, the best trim is the Rebel. That is, for those looking to maximize features while saving as much as possible.

If you’re big on bells and whistles, you’d want to wait for the funds to buy the Limited. It’s a beautiful blend of luxury and power from Dodge.

Get in touch if you’re ready to make a purchase, or just looking for more information. Each trim has a plethora of details, and you might want some additional guidance.
