What is included in the Rubicon trim of the new Jeep Gladiator?

Features of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon

You have probably seen that Jeep has a new truck on the block, and perhaps seen one of them out in the wild if you’re lucky. It’s the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, which in many ways is the result of two great tastes that taste great together, combining ideal characteristics of a classic Jeep SUV with a brawny pickup truck. One of the more popular trims of the Gladiator is the Rubicon, so we wanted to go over some of the features of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon to see what it has in store for you.

Power & Towing

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon is equipped with a powerful beating heart in the form of a 3.6-liter V6 VVT engine that is capable of dishing out 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft of torque. This helps give the truck a solid towing capacity. When properly equipped, the 2020 Gladiator Rubicon can tow up to 7,000 pounds. The payload is also impressive, maxing out at 1,160 pounds. The Gladiator Rubicon offers a 4:1 Rock-Trac® Heavy-Duty Part-Time 4WD drivetrain with a performance suspension that is ideal for standard roads and some of your favorite off-road excursions.

Exterior Features

The Rubicon variation of the 2020 Gladiator comes with 17-inch x 7.5-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels, with the option of equipping 17-inch x 7.5-inch Polished Black aluminum wheels. Automatic headlamps and a daytime running lamp system is standard, as are front fog lamps. The truck bed features cargo tie-down loops so you can properly secure your loads of items if need be.

Interior & Technology

While power and brawn may be key to the Gladiator Rubicon, it still provides a comfortable interior for drivers and for the four additional passengers you can fit inside. LED ambient interior lighting makes you feel at home, and the Rubicon cloth bucket seats are a comfortable way to command the truck. The seats can be upgraded to optional black perforated leather or black stitched leather by Mopar®. The seven-inch touch-screen display puts everything you need within your fingertips, and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ functionality are standard, so you can sync up your compatible smartphone with the truck. The standard Uconnect® system can be upgraded to the optional Uconnect® 4C NAV system with an 8.4-inch display.
